Graphite exploration and processing starts next year in the district of Nipepe, Niassa province, with a reserve of over 5 million tonnes.

DH Mining, the concession holder for the project, is currently setting up the machinery and building the ore warehouse

Thirty million dollars is being applied to make the project viable, according to the head of the mineral resources and energy department at the provincial infrastructure services in Niassa, Silvino Bonomar.

“The company is at an advanced stage regarding the installation of its infrastructures, which is the processing plant and the place for storing the material. At the moment, work is also underway to enable the construction of a bridge that will link Nipepe district with neighbouring Nampula province,” he said.
